RHA means water flowing in wixárika, the language of the indigenous people of Mexico’s Nayarit region. Flow, is a reference that tells us about their journey of life. The water that flows, the water that evaporates, the water that rains and returns.
RHA Festival today has announced a second round of additions to this year’s musical lineup, rounding out the bill with a strong collection of world-class talent. With overwhelming success from their 2017 debut, RHA Festival will return to Riviera Nayarit bringing a paradisal experience to fans with five star accommodations and a location that sits on 200 miles of pristine beachfront.
RHA’s phase two lineup sees the addition of Vatos Locos frontman HECTOR, “soul house” mastro Miguel Migs, Berlin’s own Nico Stojan, Yoruba Records founder Osunlade, deep disco master Tropicool, Mexican house icon Liam Fitzgerald, and RHA’s resident DJ Sonosfera.
RHA Festival’s phase two joins an already star-studded lineup featuring standout live showcases from Rodriguez Jr., Doc Martin (Sublevel Live), and Lee Foss & Anabel Englund, along with the very best underground house and techno like Justin Martin, of the moment star Charlotte de Witte, Mexico to Los Angeles transplant Harvard Bass, Denmark’s NOIR, Marques Wyatt, Holmar, and underground legend Luciano, who will be making his big return to Mexico for the first time in three years.
In 2018 RHA Festival will return to the scenic Marina in La Cruz De Huanacaxtle. The Memorial Day Weekender will see the addition of a new second space, a unique natural amphitheater, just steps from the main-stage, perched next to the ocean providing amazing views for sunset performances. The mainstage will again be situated on the waterfront by the Cruz marina, with attendees able to dance under the warm night skies while enjoying the coastal breezes.
Just a two hour flight from Los Angeles, Riviera Nayarit is off the well trodden tourist track, a land of wixárikas indigenous cultural heritage, it is one of the country’s safest regions. Surrounded by the deep blue seas of the Pacific and the spectacular Sierra Madrea Mountains De Huanacaxtle, La Cruz offers fans a chance to adventure into oceanic exertions like surfing, fishing, and a full water sports program.
