RHA means water flowing in wixárika, the language of the indigenous people of Mexico’s Nayarit region. Flow, is a reference that tells us about their journey of life. The water that flows, the water that evaporates, the water that rains and returns.
RHA Festival today has announced their 2018 Decompression Party with with Vatos Locos frontman HECTOR and LA’s favorite house collective Gari Safari soundtracking the beachfront soiree on Sunday, May 27th. Located in Nuevo Vallarta, just 18 minutes away from the festival, fans can look forward to unwiding in MozzaMare’s five star accommodations.
Gari Safari will come full force with house music darling Anabel Englund alongside Human Life, Matt Ossentjuk, and Mont Blvck. Over the last year, the collective has seen success taking their live electronic experience to Output in New York, Townhouse Rooftop in Miami, Spin in San Diego, Club Vinyl in Denver, Audio in San Francisco, Bijou in Boston, BPM Club in Quito Ecuador, and just recently Desert Hearts Festival. Gari Safari Records as seen similar momentum with their collaborative EP release Rising, which has remixes from Amtrac, wAFF and Shaded.
RHA Festival’s 2018 Decompression Party lineup already joins the festival’s star-studded roster featuring standout live showcases from Rodriguez Jr., Doc Martin (Sublevel Live), and Lee Foss, along with top tier house and techno like Justin Martin, of the moment star Charlotte de Witte, Mexico to Los Angeles transplant Harvard Bass, Denmark’s NOIR, Marques Wyatt, Holmar, and underground legend Luciano, who will be making his big return to Mexico for the first time in three years.
Just a two hour flight from Los Angeles, RHA Festival will return to the scenic Marina in La Cruz De Huanacaxtle. The Memorial Day Weekender will see the addition of a new second space, a unique natural amphitheater, just steps from the main-stage, perched next to the ocean providing amazing views for sunset performances. The mainstage will again be situated on the waterfront by the Cruz marina, with attendees able to dance under the warm night skies while enjoying the coastal breezes.
Beyond the music, Riviera Nayarit’s natural beauty will allow RHA attendees to safely enjoy the region’s pristine beaches and adventure into oceanic exertions like surfing, fishing, and a full water sports program.
